Nuclear Waste Management Expertise

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Waste Management Expert to join our team at Egis Group.

With over 30 years of experience in providing consultancy and research expertise to nuclear sector clients worldwide, Galson Sciences Limited has established itself as a leader in radioactive waste management.

The successful candidate will have a PhD or MSc in quantitative earth sciences, applied mathematics, physics, chemistry or engineering, or a BSc with proven radioactive waste management experience.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering high-quality research projects in nuclear decommissioning, radioactive waste management and disposal
  • Providing services to clients on an international basis
  • Line management of a small team of consultants
  • Project management in accordance with company standards and guidelines

The primary office for this role is in Oakham, with opportunities to be based out of other Egis hub offices or more remote working.

Key Requirements
  • Nuclear industry experience, and in particular radioactive waste treatment, disposal, options assessment, nuclear safety and related fields
  • Excellent presentation, interpersonal and communication skills, using English language
  • Project and contract management experience
