Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Waste Management Operator to join our team at Biffa Waste Services. As a Waste Management Operator, you will be responsible for monitoring the health and safety performance of crews across multiple waste collections sites via CCTV camera systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor the health and safety performance of crews across multiple waste collections sites via CCTV camera systems
  • Identify good and bad working practices and record this information for crew feedback via the operations team
  • Monitor street cleansing and grade the cleanliness of streets in accordance with 'Keep Britain Tidy' standards
  • Have a good and up-to-date knowledge of health and safety practices in relation to the working practices of the crews being monitored

Requirements

  • Minimum GCSE or equivalent in Maths & English
  • Ability to work well within a team
  • Good communication skills
  • IT literate
  • Knowledge of hazard/near miss reporting procedures - Desirable
  • Health and Safety (preferably in a waste environment) - Desirable
  • Experience of working on a multiple computer screen display set up
