Job Summary

VANRATH is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead infrastructure projects in the Public Sector. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and delivering Minor Works Capital Projects, working closely with the Department of Education (DE) and other sectorial bodies.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Project Manager to join our client's Infrastructure and Capital Development Division. You will provide leadership responsibility for a diverse team of professionals, technical staff, and administrative personnel. Your primary focus will be on managing and developing projects as part of the portfolio of services outlined. This includes assisting with developing all aspects of Minor capital delivery, including Minor works in both controlled and non-controlled sectors. The role requires close liaison and negotiation with other sectorial bodies when delivering Minor capital works in non-controlled settings.

Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with a Degree in Project Management or a Construction-related discipline and a minimum of three years' experience in construction-related Project Management. Alternatively, you can hold corporate membership of a relevant Professional Institute and have a minimum of two years' experience in construction-related Project Management. We also consider candidates with a minimum of five years' experience in a paid capacity working in construction-related project management within the last ten years. In addition to these qualifications, we require demonstrable experience of making managerial and technical decisions, using the NEC 3 or NEC 4 Suite of Contracts, and knowledge of health and safety legislation and CDM Regulations. A Full Drivers Licence and access to a suitable vehicle are also essential.

The estimated salary for this role is £40,428 per annum, plus discount benefits.
