Risk Management Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Controls Risk Officer to join our team at Hays Technology. This role will involve providing expert risk management advice and ensuring the effective implementation of operational controls.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate operational risks.
- Provide governance and oversight to ensure compliance with regulatory policies and procedures.
- Evaluate and enhance the control environment to ensure it is robust and effective.
- Oversee project completion and special assignments, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes.
- Ensure that all regulatory requirements are met, and compliance is maintained.
- Operate with minimal supervision, providing expert advice on risk management and control procedures.
- 5+ years of experience in risk management and operational control.
- Strong business knowledge, particularly in core loan operations and operational risks.
- Proven ability to identify and mitigate operational risks and gaps.
- Excellent multitasking and project management skills.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills.
- Preferred experience in business writing and system-to-system migration.
- Accounting experience is a plus.
This role will be hybrid, with 3 days working from our office in Belfast. Although the role is initially for a 12-month period, there is a high possibility of extension.
