Risk Management Specialist

We are currently working with a global financial institution to recruit a Risk and Control Officer. This role will be providing in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the operational readiness and migration to new platforms.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct risk assessments and drive actions to address root causes of operational risk losses.
- Provide governance and oversight, including processing risk, operational readiness, and technology risk.
- Evaluate and ensure the control environment is robust and effective.
- Oversee project completion, special assignments, and ad hoc activities.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory policies and procedures.
- 5+ years of experience in navigating and networking across an enterprise.
- Strong business knowledge, particularly in core loan operations and operational risks.
- Proven ability to identify operational risks and gaps.
- Excellent multitasking and project management skills.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills.
This role will be hybrid with 3 days working from the office in Belfast. Although the role is initially for a 12-month period, there is a high possibility of extension.
