Risk and Control Officer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk and Control Officer to join our team at a global financial institution. As a key member of our operational risk management team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity of our financial systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify and mitigate operational risk losses
  • Provide governance and oversight to ensure robust control environments
  • Evaluate and ensure the effectiveness of our control environment
  • Oversee project completion and special assignments
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory policies and procedures
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in risk management and control
  • Strong business knowledge, particularly in core loan operations and operational risks
  • Proven ability to identify operational risks and gaps
  • Excellent multitasking and project management skills
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills

This is a hybrid role with 3 days working from our office in Belfast. Although the role is initially for a 12-month period, there is a high possibility of extension.
