Job Title: Risk and Controls Officer

We are partnering with a global financial institution to hire 2 risk and controls professionals for day-rate contracts, focusing on various risk and control activities.

Job Summary:

This hybrid role requires three days of office work in Belfast. As a Risk and Controls Officer, you will work in the market operations team and be responsible for developing and maintaining a comprehensive process to proactively identify and reduce operational risk.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive process to proactively identify and reduce operational risk
  • Work as the point of contact for markets operations staff for control-related activities
  • Collaborate with diverse teams across regions to ensure effective risk management
  • Analyze and mitigate risks, ensuring a satisfactory outcome
  • Communicate effectively with all management levels, demonstrating excellent relationship skills
Requirements:
  • 5+ years' experience in financial markets
  • Knowledge and experience focused on risk and controls
  • Ability to work under pressure, managing tight deadlines and unexpected changes
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong teamwork skills and ability to work with diverse groups
