Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Rotational Therapy Assistant to join our team at Medway NHS Foundation Trust. As a Rotational Therapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our therapy teams in delivering high-quality care to our patients.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Supporting therapy interventions given to patients, working as part of integrated therapy specialty teams.
  • Assisting therapists and senior therapy assistants in the treatment and rehabilitation of patients using a range of therapy techniques.
  • Undertaking patient treatments as delegated by the therapist, following a treatment plan, and providing feedback on reactions and progress.
  • Working in partnership with members of the multidisciplinary team (MDT) both internally and externally to the organisation.
  • Providing direction and guidance to patients and carers on the treatment programme and progression.
  • Encouraging patients and their carers in an active approach to regaining and maintaining personal independence.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Good general education (to GCSE or equivalent).
  • Theoretical and practical training to NVQ II Level or equivalent experience in communication skills, administrative and task organisation, and Health & Safety awareness.
  • Experience in interacting with the public or patients.
  • Experience in a role that demonstrates communication skills, prioritising of tasks, and an organised, methodical approach to work.
  • Basic keyboard skills.
