Rotational Therapy Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Rotational Therapy Assistant to join our team at Medway NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our therapy team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to our mission to provide the best possible care to our patients.
Main ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for supporting therapy interventions given to patients, working as part of integrated therapy specialty teams on a rotational basis. This will involve working in various settings, including wards, gyms, and clinics, and providing skilled support work to patients with complex needs.
You will be expected to assist therapists and senior therapy assistants in the treatment and rehabilitation of patients, using a range of therapy techniques and modalities. This will include conducting patient assessments, developing treatment plans, and implementing interventions to promote patient independence and well-being.
In addition to your clinical responsibilities, you will also be required to maintain accurate records of patient contacts and contribute to the development of the therapy team.
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need to have a good general education, theoretical and practical training to NVQ II Level or equivalent experience in communication skills, administrative and task organisation, and Health & Safety awareness. You will also need to have experience in interacting with the public or patients, and be able to demonstrate communication skills, prioritising of tasks, and an organised, methodical approach to work.
You will be expected to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritising tasks and managing your time effectively to meet deadlines. You will also be required to work collaboratively with other members of the multidisciplinary team to achieve patient outcomes.
