Armatec Survivability is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer CAD Specialist to contribute to the success of our team in Ontario. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing engineering and CAD design, with experience in technical documentation and configuration management.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing technical documents, such as drawings, 3D CAD data, and manufacturing instructions, as well as monitoring and implementing engineering changes. They will also communicate with engineering and manufacturing departments to ensure efficient processing of metallic and composite parts.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assigning and revising manufacturing routings and bills of material
  • Selecting raw material stock for parts and assisting in the manufacturing planning process
  • Communicating with engineering and production departments to determine effective processing methods
  • Managing technical documents and implementing engineering changes
  • Monitoring compliance with applicable standards

Requirements include:

  • Proficiency in interpreting technical documents, such as 3D CAD data and technical drawings
  • Experience with manufacturing technologies, such as milling, turning, bending, welding, and heat treatment
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD applications, ideally SolidWorks
  • Diploma or degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
  • Experience with product data management tools (PDM)
