Job Title: Senior Thermo-Mechanical Engineer

At Battery NEXUS, we're seeking a highly skilled Senior Thermo-Mechanical Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you'll be responsible for the development of advanced high temperature sensors for aerospace applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop high temperature electro-mechanical sensing systems using 3D and FEA modeling and testing.
  • Research high temperature materials and components for use in sensing systems and apply this knowledge to develop new sensing solutions.
  • Work with suppliers to select and qualify components and materials, ensuring compliance with quality and industry standards.
  • Analyse and interpret technical specifications, schematics, and engineering drawings to create innovative designs that meet project requirements.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies, and apply them to improve design processes and product performance.
Requirements:
  • PhD or Master's degree in Engineering or Materials related science subject.
  • Research or industrial experience in high temperature materials, ideally with Piezo properties, coatings, and harsh environments.
  • Expertise in at least one of the following industry standard software tools: MATLAB, Simulink, COMSOL, SolidWorks, and proficiency in Python & C.
