Job Title: Senior Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Design Engineer to join our team at Humres. As a key member of our South Region Area business, you will play a pivotal role in the growth and development of our operations.

About the Role

This multi-discipline position requires a strong background in design and estimating, with a focus on piling, foundations, and ground improvement techniques. You will work closely with our Design / Estimating Manager to develop safe and cost-effective engineering solutions that meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess incoming enquiries for estimating and ensure that all estimates are prepared in line with company procedures.
  • Determine optimum solutions for foundation schemes to optimise contract award potential, maximise profit, and minimise environmental impacts.
  • Submit estimates within required timescales and follow up on submitted estimates.
  • Prepare and issue design packs for awarded projects and arrange handover of new work from the pre-construction team to the operational delivery team.
  • Maintain responsibility for management of design changes which occur post contract award and maintain a detailed knowledge of all piling techniques and design standards.
Requirements
  • Relevant engineering degree and MSc or bias towards geotechnical engineering / geology.
  • Preferably an Incorporated or Chartered Engineer.
