Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at RED Engineering Design in Newcastle. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and coordination of electrical installations, systems, and equipment for various projects, including data centers, commercial buildings, and industrial facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and specify electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and control systems
  • Coordinate with project stakeholders to ensure electrical installations meet functional specifications and customer requirements
  • Develop and specify applications of controls, instruments, and operating systems for building engineering services purposes
  • Survey, test, and report on existing electrical installations
  • Represent the company at technical meetings with customers, professional teams, and contractors
Requirements:
  • Experience in electrical design and coordination for data centers and mission-critical projects
  • Knowledge of MS Office, including Excel, and ability to use IT-based calculation and spreadsheet software
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with project stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
