We are seeking a highly skilled Early Intervention and Play Leader to join our team at Sense, a leading charity supporting people with complex disabilities.

This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week in a hybrid role, combining work from home, the Touchbase Pears office, and community settings in Birmingham.

About the Role

As an Early Intervention and Play Leader, you will play a crucial role in ensuring children and families receive the best possible support to achieve their goals.

You will provide direct support to children aged 0-8 with complex disabilities and their families, developing and delivering sessions tailored to their specific needs.

Your duties will include identifying families who would benefit from early intervention and support, providing online activities and resources, maintaining accurate records, and offering guidance and advice to families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct support to children and families in their homes and community settings
  • Develop and deliver individualized sessions based on child and family needs
  • Facilitate online activities as part of our digital offer
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of contact and engagement
  • Offer information and advice to families about their child's needs
Requirements
  • Recognised qualification in playwork or equivalent NVQ level 3 qualification
  • Experience working with children and young people with disabilities in education, health, or social care settings
  • Proven experience assessing and monitoring individual progress of children with complex disabilities
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
