Family Support Specialist

We are partnering with a Local Authority in Birmingham to provide a Family Support Worker, on a 2.5-month contract, with the potential for extension pending client discretion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond promptly to the identified needs of children and young people, adhering to policies and procedures.
  • Act as the lead professional for an allocated caseload of children and families, under the direction of the Team Manager.
  • Utilize early help assessments and relevant tools to identify needs, leading the development of a multi-agency support plan.
  • Maintain high standards of case recording, ensuring timely updates, including use of a common database.
  • Engage effectively with children, young people, and their families, promoting participation in early help assessments, support plans, and interventions.

Requirements:

  • Educated to GCSE standard and hold an NVQ Level 4 or equivalent in a related field.
  • Experience in delivering evidence-based interventions with children, young people, and their families.
  • Ability to complete assessments identifying needs and informing interventions.

Please note:

  • Availability to work immediately or at short notice is essential.
  • A valid right to work in the U.K is required.
  • An enhanced DBS is necessary for this role.
