Job Title: Senior Family Support Specialist

Sheldon Phillips Ltd is seeking a skilled and experienced Social Worker to join the South Pre-Birth Team based at Lifford House. This role offers a unique opportunity for dedicated professionals to make a meaningful impact in the lives of expectant families.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive Pre-Birth Assessments covering Children in Need, Child Protection, pre-proceedings, and court work to ensure the well-being of families.
  • Maintain a reduced caseload of approximately 10 children to focus on providing high-quality support services.
  • Support the team's duty worker in delivering responsive and immediate assistance to families in need.
  • Prepare detailed assessments, Care Plans, and Child Permanence Reports to high standards, showcasing expertise in safeguarding and assessment processes.
Requirements:
  • Achieve Social Work England accreditation with proven experience in the UK.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in court processes, particularly with pre-birth assessments.
  • Exceptional skills in producing high-quality reports and plans.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to compassionate and effective support for families, coupled with a high degree of professionalism in safeguarding and assessment processes.
