About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Finance Director to lead our Business Partner Team and provide management and technical accounting services to our client councils.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and motivate a team of finance professionals to deliver high-quality financial management services.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support business growth and improvement.
  • Manage and support the Business Partner Team in setting annual budgets and reporting financial performance.
  • Provide technical accounting expertise and support to the team on completion of final accounts.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with client councils and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and delivery of services.

Requirements:

  • Fully qualified accountant (CIPFA/CIMA/ACCA) with experience in public sector finance.
  • Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and develop new opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
