About the Role

PSPS is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Finance Manager to lead the Business Partner Team for one of our Client Councils. As a key member of our Financial Services Department, you will be responsible for providing management and technical accounting services to District and Borough Councils within the South East Lincolnshire Councils Partnership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and motivate a team of finance professionals to deliver high-quality financial management services to our client councils.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support the achievement of our client councils' objectives.
  • Provide expert financial advice and guidance to our client councils, ensuring that they are fully compliant with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
  • Manage and support the Business Partner Team in the setting of annual budgets for a diverse range of public sector services.
  • Report financial performance and support the technical team on completion of the final accounts.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with our client councils, stakeholders, and other key partners.
Requirements
  • Fully CIPFA/CIMA/ACCA qualified.
  • Extensive experience in public sector finance, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality financial management services.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of finance professionals.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with our client councils, stakeholders, and other key partners.
