Strategic Finance Manager Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Finance Manager to join our team at Public Sector Partnership Services. As a key member of our Business Partner Team, you will be responsible for leading the team in providing management and technical accounting services to District and Borough Councils within the Southeast Lincolnshire Councils Partnership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and motivate the Business Partner Team to deliver high-quality financial management services to client councils.
  • Develop and implement financial planning and analysis strategies to support the achievement of strategic objectives.
  • Provide expert financial advice and guidance to client councils and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage and support the team in the setting of annual budgets and reporting financial performance.
  • Collaborate with other Strategic Finance Managers to develop and implement innovative financial solutions.

Requirements:

  • Fully CIPFA/CIMA/ACCA qualified.
  • Experience in public sector finance, with a strong understanding of financial management and accounting principles.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with tight deadlines and multiple priorities.
