Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Janitorial Services Coordinator to join our team at BAM Construct & Ventures UK. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for providing janitorial services, maintenance, and security services on school sites and premises.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in janitorial/site-keeping or trade experience in a similar environment. They will be able to demonstrate good numeracy, literacy, and IT skills, as well as the ability to work well with children and adults. The ideal candidate will also have a good working knowledge of health and safety procedures and precautions, as well as COSHH regulations.

This is a challenging and continuously changing environment, and we are looking for someone who is flexible, willing to work as part of a team, and able to demonstrate a flexible attitude. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide janitorial services, including porterage, maintenance, waste management, and security services on school sites and premises.
  • Lock/unlock school buildings and areas.
  • Use the FSIGO app on an issued device to report and log tasks as per help desk protocols.
  • Carry out weekly/monthly contractual and statutory checks.
  • Participate in the on-call rota, currently for one week in every 14 weeks.
  • Undertake regular security checks and identify security risks.
  • Monitor fire safety equipment and carry out and assist in carrying out fire drills.
  • Operate and respond to alarm systems where appropriate.
  • Liaise with contractors.
  • Provide emergency access to school sites.

Requirements:

  • Janitorial/site-keeping or trade experience in a similar environment.
  • Good numeracy, literacy, and IT skills.
  • Ability to work well with children and adults.
  • Good working knowledge of health and safety procedures and precautions.
  • COSHH regulations knowledge.
  • Flexible attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
