Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Janitorial Services Coordinator to join our team at BAM Construct & Ventures UK. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for providing janitorial services, maintenance, and security services on school sites and premises.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in janitorial/site-keeping or trade experience in a similar environment, with excellent numeracy and literacy skills. You will also have a good working knowledge of IT and be able to demonstrate a flexible attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide janitorial services, including porterage, maintenance, waste management, and security services on school sites and premises.
  • Lock and unlock school buildings and areas, and use the FSIGO app to report and log tasks as per help desk protocols.
  • Carry out weekly and monthly contractual and statutory checks, and participate in the on-call rota.
  • Undertake regular security checks and identify security risks, and monitor fire safety equipment and carry out and assist in carrying out fire drills.
  • Operate and respond to alarm systems, and liaise with contractors and provide emergency access to school sites.
  • Undertake minor repairs, organize and carry out maintenance duties, and participate in a preventative planned maintenance programme.
Requirements
  • Janitorial/site-keeping or trade experience in a similar environment.
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills, with a good working knowledge of IT.
  • Able to demonstrate a flexible attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of health and safety procedures and precautions, and COSHH regulations.
  • Willingness to participate in development and training opportunities.
