Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to join our team at The Recruitment Co. in Bolton. As a Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our warehouse, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coaching and Training: Provide coaching and training to employees to enhance their skills and knowledge, and to identify and implement opportunities for growth and development.
  • Accident Investigations: Conduct thorough investigations into accidents and incidents, and implement measures to prevent future occurrences.
  • Safe Working Practices: Ensure that all employees adhere to safe working practices and maintain a safe working environment at all times.
  • Continuous Improvement: Support the development and implementation of continuous improvement processes to increase productivity and efficiency.
  • Team Management: Manage and motivate a team of warehouse staff to achieve targets and objectives.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee the receipt, storage, and dispatch of inventory, ensuring that all stock is accurately recorded and accounted for.
  • Transportation Management: Coordinate the transportation of goods and materials, ensuring that all deliveries are made on time and in good condition.
  • Contractor Management: Manage external contractors and suppliers, ensuring that all work is completed to a high standard and on time.

Requirements:

  • Education: Good secondary education or time-served equivalent.
  • Experience: At least 3 years' experience in a management role, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Qualifications: Six Sigma or LEAN certification an advantage.
