Workshop Team Leader

About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Workshop Controller at Halfords. As a key member of our Workshop team, you will be responsible for the smooth running of the Workshop on a day-to-day basis, supervising a team of technicians and ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Allocate jobs to the Workshop team based on technical requirements and customer demand.
- Hold daily huddles to ensure all colleagues are updated on commercial priorities and focused on exceeding customer expectations.
- Develop and mentor the Workshop team to improve their technical capabilities and provide technical support where needed.
- Promote the Halfords Values and instil them in the team.
What You'll Need:
- Technically trained to Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance standard, or equivalent time served.
- Experience of managing/supervising a team/workshop to drive performance and delivery.
- Excellent customer approach - ability to communicate clearly and simply to customers.
- Experience of developing colleagues through delivery of technical training.
- Experience of exceeding customer metrics - working with management to support in driving key metrics and KPI's.
- Experience of meeting compliance standards across Health and Safety and quality.
- Experience of labour force scheduling, with proven time management skills.
- Must hold a current full valid driving licence.
