Support Worker for Trauma-Affected Children

We are Academi Ltd, a leading provider of education services for children who have experienced trauma or adverse childhood experiences (ACE). We are seeking an experienced and passionate individual to join our team as a Support Worker for Trauma-Affected Children.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing classroom support to children who have experienced trauma or ACE. You will work in a school that caters to the needs of Looked After Children, supporting them in their educational journey and helping them develop healthy emotional regulation and mental health.
We offer a competitive salary of £28,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience. Our benefits package includes opportunities for professional development and a supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide classroom support to children who have experienced trauma or ACE
- Work in a school that caters to the needs of Looked After Children
- Help children develop healthy emotional regulation and mental health
Requirements:
- Qualified Teaching Assistant or Residential Support Worker
- Experience of working with pupils who have SEMH needs, autism, ADHD, or other needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
