IAG GBS (Global Business Services) is a leading provider of business services to the International Airlines Group, one of the world's largest airline groups. Headquartered in Krakow, IAG GBS has operations in London, Madrid, Dublin, and Chennai.

This role will lead a sub-category of procurement spend across a range of products and services, working across the operating companies to deliver effective, robust, and compliant procurement that meets the business plan while maximizing the group's buying power.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading strategic activities, including category planning, sourcing, and risk management
  • Developing and implementing local and global sourcing strategies for all external spend-related activity
  • Managing stakeholder relationships in all operating companies, ensuring robust challenge while delivering the operating companies' business plans
  • Managing supplier risk to protect the operating companies and the group from financial, operational, and reputational damage
  • Providing commercial innovation to internal stakeholders through interaction with the supply base
  • Working with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to resolve commercial and contractual disputes
  • Supporting operating companies' tier 1 (high strategic/high risk/high spend) projects
  • Ensuring supplier performance management is robust, effective, and compliant through liaison with the Procurement Operations Centre and operating company stakeholders

Requirements include:

  • Strong demonstrable commercial expertise, including contract negotiation and dispute resolution
  • Excellent people management skills, with the ability to inspire, lead, build, and deliver through high-performance teams
  • Strong business and financial acumen, with the ability to evaluate, analyze, and solve problems
  • Senior-level experience of partnering with senior leaders and executives in a fast-moving and agile business environment
  • Experience of working in an environment of change involving people, process, policy, and technology
