Advanced Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our team in a GP surgery in the UK.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working independently and as part of a team to diagnose and treat patients with minor illnesses, and advising on ongoing medical and nursing needs.
Key Responsibilities- Attend to patients who wish to be seen by a healthcare professional, diagnosing and treating patients presenting with minor illnesses and advising on ongoing medical and nursing needs.
- Work with reference to practice agreed protocols and guidelines, providing nursing treatments to patients both independently and in participation with nurse colleagues and general practitioners.
- Provide patients with access to a Nurse Practitioner in surgery and over the phone for all presentations in primary care.
- Undertake comprehensive assessments, including physical, mental, emotional, and social health, using invasive and non-invasive investigations to establish a diagnosis.
- Develop ongoing plans for health with an emphasis on prevention and self-care, supporting patients to adopt healthy lifestyles and apply principles of self-care.
- Support and manage health needs of women presenting for family planning or sexual health consultations, and assess and refer patients presenting with mental health needs in accordance with the NSF for Mental Health.
- Keep accurate patient records on the computer system.
- Registered General Nurse (currently registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council).
- Evidence of appropriate continuing professional development in all aspects of the ANP role.
- Several years' experience working in General Practice.
The Practice Team consists of 2 GP Partners, 4 Salaried GPs, a Nursing Team of ANPs, HCAs, Pharmacy Team, and a well-established administration team. We inhabit modern premises located in Serpentine Green Centre, Hampton, Peterborough, with good access to shops, sporting facilities, and restaurants, and plenty of secure, free parking to the rear of the Practice.
