Human Resources Manager

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to join our team at South Thames College Group. As a key member of our HR department, you will play a vital role in providing strategic HR support to our managers and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert HR advice and guidance to managers and staff on employment law, policies, and procedures.
- Support the development and implementation of HR strategies and initiatives to drive business performance and growth.
- Lead on employee relations, including grievance and disciplinary procedures, and ensure a fair and consistent approach to employee issues.
- Collaborate with the Head of HR to develop and implement HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and best practice.
- Conduct job evaluations and ensure adherence to the Group's job evaluation arrangements.
- Support the HR Advisors in conducting induction sessions for new staff members and coordinating the arrangements as necessary.
- Monitor and review HR costs to ensure services are provided within allocated budgets.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Significant experience in an operational HR role, leading an HR team and developing and implementing HR policies and procedures.
- Experience of employee relations casework, including negotiating with ACAS Conciliators and preparing Employment Tribunal cases.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with managers and staff at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Knowledge of employment law and best practice in HR.
