About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our team at HB People. As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our business operations by maintaining accurate financial records, processing invoices, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process sales invoices on Sage 50 and EDI systems
  • Process recharge invoices and customer receipts
  • Manage credit control via customer portals
  • Sort and resolve queries as they arise
  • Maintain the sales ledger and invoice finance
  • Process purchase ledger invoices on Sage 50
  • Reconcile supplier statements and prepare payments due/ remittances to suppliers
  • Maintain the purchase ledger and assist in other areas as needed
Requirements
  • Previous experience in sales and/or purchase ledger is essential
  • Basic Excel skills are required
  • Some accounts system experience is necessary, with Sage 50 and EDI being desirable but not essential
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently in an open-plan office
  • A car owner/driver is ideal due to the location, with free car parking available
