About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Assistant to join our team at Medlock Partners Limited. As an entry-level finance professional, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely payment to suppliers.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to resolve any queries or discrepancies.
  • Coding and reporting: accurately code invoices and prepare reports for management.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and calculate VAT.
  • Authorize and prepare payments to suppliers.
  • Maintain up-to-date records and assist with petty cash management.
  • Support other reporting requirements as needed.
Requirements
  • A genuine interest in pursuing a career in finance.
  • Previous experience in transactional finance (particularly Accounts Payable) is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
  • Quick learning of IT systems and excellent communication skills.
  • Proactive problem-solving and high organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
