Health and Safety Manager

CORPORATE TRAVEL MANAGEMENT (CTM) UK is seeking a highly skilled Health, Safety and Compliance Manager to join our team. As a key member of our senior management team, you will be responsible for leading and supporting the effective implementation of compliance towards safety, risk assessment, advice and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the effective implementation of compliance towards safety, risk assessment, advice and continuous improvement.
- Lead and support senior management teams in the development and maintenance of internal quality systems.
- Review and monitor all property audits completed by a third-party consultancy.
- Undertake desktop reviews of each audit and risk assessment, raising any concerns immediately and building appropriate remedial action where needed.
- Visit each property under contract across the UK to review ongoing Health and safety measures and ensure performance is line with the agreed contract.
- Oversee each property audit, working in partnership with the third-party auditors, to ensure due process is followed and ensuring each aspect of the audit is assessed in line with expected and regulatory standards.
- Build key relationships internally and externally, having the ability to challenge and question aspects of the audit when required.
- Participate in regular meetings with the internal team and with the client, specifically to assist with any Health, safety or risk matters that may arise.
- Ensure all Health and Safety data taken from our in-house safety reporting system is continuously analysed to assist with prioritising workloads.
Requirements:
- H&S degree or advanced level Food Hygiene qualification from an accredited governing body.
- Experience of maintaining and developing internal quality systems and working within a Quality Management System (ISO 9001 preferred).
- Project Management experience.
