Health and Safety Manager

Join Morrisons, a leading supermarket chain, as a Health and Safety Manager in our Property division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading health and safety across all aspects of our property function, including construction, asset management, and landlord responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop risk management strategies to mitigate potential hazards and ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive health and safety improvements and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Investigate incidents and near misses, and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
- Develop and maintain health and safety training programs to ensure employees are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to perform their jobs safely.
- Monitor and report on health and safety performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Build relationships with external contractors and stakeholders to ensure health and safety standards are met.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in health and safety management, preferably in a construction or property-related industry.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and regulations, including CDM and Fire Safety.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to analyze data and identify trends, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Proven track record of driving health and safety improvements and reducing risk.
