We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Grosvenor Casino, Luton. As a key member of our kitchen brigade, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in the management and organization of the kitchen, ensuring that food is prepared to the highest standards and that all health and safety procedures are followed.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist the Head Chef in the planning and preparation of menus, including ordering and stock control
* Supervise kitchen staff to ensure that food is prepared to the highest standards and that all health and safety procedures are followed
* Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen
* Assist with the training and development of kitchen staff
* Liaise with suppliers to ensure that all ingredients and equipment are of the highest quality
* Assist with the management of kitchen budgets and costs
Requirements:
* 2+ years of experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role
* Proven track record of success in a fast-paced kitchen environment
* Excellent leadership and communication skills
* Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team
* Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene procedures
* Ability to train and develop kitchen staff
