Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Apprenticeship End-Point Assessor to join our team in Diagnostic Imaging Support. As a Senior Healthcare Support Worker, you will be responsible for conducting end-point assessments, maintaining ongoing CPD, and adhering to Pearson's specifications, assessment materials, and quality assurance protocols.

About the Role:

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a Healthcare Support Worker with recent experience in the occupation area or sector to develop their skills as an independent end-point assessor and contribute to the external quality assurance activities undertaken by the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education (IFATE).

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct onsite or remote end-point assessments in accordance with published assessment and grading criteria and procedures.
  • Maintain ongoing, relevant Continuous Professional Development (CPD) and adhere to Pearson's specifications, assessment materials, and quality assurance protocols.
  • Assess candidate performance, ensure overall standards are maintained, and report any risks or issues encountered during the end-point assessment to Pearson.
  • Schedule additional time for travel when making EPA arrangements and support Pearson with any appeals from apprentices regarding assessment decisions.

Requirements:

  • Recent relevant experience of the occupation area or sector to at least occupational level 3 gained in the last 5 years or significant experience of the occupation or sector.
  • Experience of leading meetings/structured interviews/discussions, complying with quality assurance/regulatory requirements, and assessing/reporting risks.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively respond to conflicts.
  • Able to work independently, maintain confidentiality, and adhere to data protection guidelines.
