About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Workforce Advisor to join our team at the BBC. As a key member of our workforce management team, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our contingent workforce needs are met, and our objectives are achieved.

Main Responsibilities

As a Senior Workforce Advisor, you will be responsible for:

  • Assessing engagement requests and providing advice and recommendations on policy and approaches
  • Managing the risk of individual cases and acting as a point of escalation for complex queries
  • Ensuring full, accurate audit trails are centrally recorded to maintain high compliance standards
  • Working closely with peers and management to proactively keep commercial awareness up to date
  • Identifying opportunities for improvement and simplification of existing practices
  • Supporting change initiatives to the end-to-end Contingent Workforce process
  • Being the go-to expert for complex queries and managing individual cases
  • Helping manage the relationship with the wider business community
  • Collaborating with peers and management to stay informed about employment law, tax legislation, and industry trends
  • Assisting with assessing training needs within the team and delivering training where required
  • Contributing to a culture of service excellence and supporting continuous improvement

Requirements

We are looking for someone with:

  • Knowledge of regulatory and statutory requirements for freelancers
  • Familiarity with employment and tax law
  • Ability to interpret and advise on policy and best practice
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • An interest in compliance and audit across diverse populations
