At First Bus, we are seeking a skilled Operational Account Manager to join our team. This is a full-time permanent role based in our Head Office at Clayton Le Moors.

The successful candidate will act as the primary point of contact for our clients, providing operational and account management support to ensure service levels are maintained. This will involve building strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and local business units, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

The Day-to-Day

  • Drive performance by analyzing service-related data and implementing efficient solutions to achieve KPI targets.
  • Ensure punctual, safe, and reliable service is maintained, and implement dynamic solutions to provide the best value for money service to our clients.
  • Provide a structured account management approach, including regular client meetings and presentation of service performance data.
  • Liaise with local business units to create a cohesive working environment and ensure a consistent approach to working.
  • Perform periodic site visits to client and supplier premises nationwide.

Requirements

  • Previous contract/client management experience.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • Commercial awareness and solution-focused approach.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
