Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Manager to join our team at the NHS. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced professional to lead our finance operations in community services.

About the Role

This role will be responsible for providing financial management support to our community services, ensuring that financial information is accurate, complete, and timely. You will work closely with our senior finance team to identify and manage risk, and deliver financial performance objectives.

You will have extensive knowledge of the NHS financial regime and experience of national tariffs, assessing value for money opportunities, and evaluating transformation projects. You will also have subject matter expertise across several key areas relating to corporate performance reporting and monitoring.

The ideal candidate will be a CCAB qualified accountant with significant post-qualification experience at a senior level, preferably in a financial management role. You will have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide financial management support to community services, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Work closely with the senior finance team to identify and manage risk, and deliver financial performance objectives.
  • Develop and implement effective financial strategies to improve financial performance and reduce costs.
  • Lead and manage a team of financial staff, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the skills and resources needed to perform their roles effectively.
Requirements
  • Extensive knowledge of the NHS financial regime.
  • Experience of national tariffs, assessing value for money opportunities, and evaluating transformation projects.

Estimated salary: £70,000 - £90,000 per annum.
