About the Role

The London North West Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled Macmillan Practitioner Psychologist to join our team. As a Macmillan Practitioner Psychologist, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality psychological services to patients with cancer and their families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver complex psychological services to patients with cancer, taking into account their individual needs and circumstances.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop tailored treatment plans to address patients' psychological needs.
  • Provide evidence-based interventions and therapies to promote patients' physical and emotional well-being.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive comprehensive care that addresses their physical, emotional, and social needs.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of service improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities to ensure that services meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Requirements

  • Existing Operational Role with exposure to RTT pathways.
  • Demonstrable time in an acute setting.
  • Ability to demonstrate delivery of complex services under pressure.
  • Recent working in an acute service across the NHS or similar.
  • Evidence of working in a stressed and pressured environment.

  • Leadership of orthopaedic setting.
