Job Opportunity at London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Health Psychologist to join our team at London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust. The successful candidate will work as a Band 8a Practitioner Psychologist in our Macmillan Psycho-oncology Service, providing specialist psychology services to cancer and palliative care patients.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist assessment, treatment, planning, implementation, and monitoring of outcomes for cancer and palliative care patients.
  • Contribute to creating a psychologically safe and informed environment for staff, service users, and carers from diverse backgrounds.
  • Initiate and collaborate in service evaluation, audit, and research.
  • Provide clinical supervision, consultation, and training for multidisciplinary team staff and other psychological practitioners.
  • Work autonomously within BPS and HCPC guidelines and codes of conduct, and guided by the policies, standards, and procedures of the service, Psychological Services Network, and Trust.
Requirements
  • Post-graduate doctoral level training in Clinical or Counselling Psychology as accredited by the BPS. Eligible for BPS Chartered Psychology Status and registered with the HCPC as a Practitioner Psychologist.
  • Eligible for BPS Chartered Psychology Status.
  • Formal training in supervision of trainee psychologists.
  • Post-doctoral training in models specifically relevant to cancer & palliative care, i.e. ACT, CFT, MBSR.
  • Formal training in quality improvement methodologies.
Working Arrangements

This is a permanent, full-time position based at Northwick Park Hospital, Watford Road, Harrow.
