Are you passionate about supporting individuals on their journey to recovery and wellbeing? Do you have experience working in the substance misuse field or similar? We are seeking a Counsellor in Recovery Support to join our team at our new women's-only residential service in Oxfordshire.

About the Service

Our new women's-only residential service provides a safe therapeutic environment for individuals who have experienced multiple disadvantage and those who have experienced past trauma. As a Counsellor in Recovery Support, you will play a key role in the smooth running of the therapeutic community, providing support for individuals recovering from drug or alcohol misuse through one-to-one counselling and group work.

Job Description

- Provide support for individuals recovering from drug or alcohol misuse through one-to-one counselling and group work
- Carry out strength-based assessments and work with individuals to create care plans and promote visible recovery
- Supervise academic placements to ensure trainees acquire the necessary skills and competencies to contribute effectively to good mental health care
- Play a key role in the smooth running of the therapeutic community
- Have good office IT skills and experience working in the substance misuse field or similar

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is £28,150, based on the national average for a Counsellor in Oxfordshire. You will also receive 25 days' annual leave plus Bank Holidays, increasing to a maximum of 30 days, as well as access to benefits including season ticket loan, pension scheme, life assurance, occupational sick pay, eye-care vouchers, regular wellbeing talks and activities, continuous training and career development via a dedicated learning management system, and a 24/7 Employee Assistance programme.
