Job Title: Fire Detection Operations Manager

Location: Central London

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fire Detection Operations Manager to lead our Fire Detection team and drive the delivery of exceptional service to our clients. As a key member of our H&K Fire Engineering Careers team, you will be responsible for managing the engineering team, coordinating with contractors and suppliers, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the engineering team to deliver high-quality services to clients.
  • Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to ensure timely and efficient delivery of services.
  • Manage the resolution of delays and ensure that services are delivered in line with client SLAs.
  • Hire and train new employees to ensure the team has the necessary skills and expertise.
  • Manage process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the team.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Manage materials and equipment budgets to ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Ensure that the quality of work carried out by engineering staff and sub-contractors meets LPS requirements.
  • Manage and delegate engineering escalations within the department.
  • Attend monthly management meetings to contribute to business strategy and work with senior managers.
  • Meet with clients as required to discuss service delivery and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Ensure a safe and secure working environment for employees and customers.

Requirements:

A capable understanding of fire systems is essential, and experience in a similar role or from an engineering background is ideal. The successful candidate will have excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are also essential.
