We are seeking a highly experienced Regulation 44 Visitor to join our team in Staffordshire and North West areas. As a key member of our regulatory compliance team, you will conduct independent visits to our children's homes, assessing their arrangements for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

About Your Role

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting regular, unannounced, and announced visits to our children's homes in Staffordshire and North West areas
  • Evaluating the quality of care provided by engaging with children and young people regarding their experiences
  • Producing comprehensive reports summarizing inspections and required improvements
  • Identifying and reporting any safeguarding concerns to the Director of Care
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Significant experience in the children's care sector, either as a manager of a children's home, social worker, or independent visitor
  • An excellent understanding of the Children's Home (England) Regulations 2015 and the social care common inspection framework
  • Demonstrated experience in quality assurance within children's residential services, including file and paperwork audits
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with young people and their networks
