About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our team in Aseptic Services. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient preparation and dispensing of aseptically produced products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and dispensing of aseptically produced products in isolators, adhering to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) guidelines.
  • Participate in the daily monitoring and cleaning of isolators, ensuring a high standard of cleanliness and sterility.
  • Monitor the clean room environment, identifying and reporting any deviations from established protocols.
  • Collaborate with pharmacists and technical staff to ensure seamless workflow and efficient operations.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of departmental procedures and protocols, including those related to aseptic services.

Person Specification
  • GCSEs in Maths and English or equivalent (4/C or above)
  • NVQ Pharmacy Level 2 plus accredited underpinning knowledge or equivalent (desirable)
  • Experience of dispensing medication (desirable)
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (desirable)
  • Knowledge of procedures for pharmacy services (desirable)
  • Knowledge of pharmacy computer systems (desirable)
