About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to manage our residential children's homes in Derbyshire. As a Residential Children's Homes Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of staff to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children and young people.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the residential children's home, including staff supervision and budget management.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of care and support for children and young people.
- Work closely with colleagues and external agencies to ensure the needs of children and young people are met.
- Contribute to the development of the home's quality improvement plan and ensure its implementation.
- Manage and maintain accurate records and reports, as required.
Requirements
- Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (England) or equivalent.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England) or equivalent.
- Recognised social work qualification or professional qualification relevant to working with children.
- Experience of supervising staff and managing professional staff.
- Experience of working in a residential care setting, preferably with children and young people.
