Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our Haematology/Oncology Service. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering quality, individualised care to haematology/oncology patients with a high level of autonomy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilise clinical expertise, leadership, education and management to ensure a seamless service for patients, carers and staff.
  • Provide advice, support and information at the time of diagnosis and throughout the patient pathway.
  • Engage and lead discussions within the multidisciplinary team and provide expert advice.
  • Assess, examine, manage and treat individuals receiving Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) and supportive care.

Requirements:

  • Band 7 qualified ANP or trainee ANP employed under annexe 21 framework with ANP qualification and training to be completed within a 2 year period.
  • Competent and qualified ANP with experience in Oncology/Haematology nursing.
  • Ability to lead others, think strategically and communicate effectively.

About the Role: This is a new development within the current Oncology/Haematology Day Unit and Ward 34 at Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy. The successful candidate will work collaboratively across healthcare boundaries and identify and implement innovations in clinical practice.
