Abbotsford Raith Manor based in Kirkcaldy are currently recruiting for a full time Care Practitioner. Our full time contracts guarantee on average 40.25 hours per week. Our care home staff work 12 hr shifts across varying shift patterns - this will be discussed further during the interview process.
Our team of Senior Support Workers work together on delivering a high standard of personal care and provide daily support to our residents to enable them to lead as independent a life as possible offering them dignity, self-respect and privacy at all times. As part of your role, you will support the running of the shift and show warmth and support to our residents and their families; helping promote independence and dignity. You will be responsible for the supervision of your care team, dealing with medication administration and nursing needs, participating in staff recruitment and holding various staff / flash meetings.

We will work with you through our 16-week induction and orientation program where you will develop the skills and knowledge required to begin your career with Abbotsford Care. You will cover a variety of training courses including Moving & Handling, Infection Control, Fire Safety, Dementia Awareness and Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults. Abbotsford Care is an accredited SVQ employer and within our internal training department, our trainers will work with you to obtain professional training and development qualifications.
