About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Plant Acquisition Specialist to join our team at MorePeople. As a key member of our horticultural procurement team, you will be responsible for sourcing a wide variety of plants, shrubs, and trees to meet the needs of our garden centre.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing high-quality plants and products at competitive prices
  • Working closely with our Company Directors to set stock levels and manage budgets
  • Negotiating with suppliers to maximise profitability
  • Providing exceptional customer service and ensuring displays are attractive and up-to-date
  • Managing and training staff, maintaining discipline, and fostering a positive work environment

Requirements:

  • Experience in plant buying and management within the horticultural industry
  • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of securing the best supplier terms
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, with an eye for detail to ensure product quality and stock accuracy
  • A deep understanding of current trends and consumer behaviour within the gardening sector
