Job Description:

As a key member of the MorePeople team, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our garden centre's plant offerings. This includes leading and developing the team, sourcing a wide variety of plants, shrubs, and trees, and ensuring the business provides high-quality products at competitive prices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sourcing and procurement of plants, shrubs, and trees
  • Managing budgets and negotiating with suppliers to maximise profitability
  • Leading and developing the team to achieve sales targets
  • Providing exceptional customer service and addressing customer inquiries
  • Maintaining security, health and safety, and ensuring displays are attractive and up to date

Requirements:
  • Experience in plant buying and management within the horticultural industry
  • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of securing the best supplier terms
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • A deep understanding of current trends and consumer behaviour within the gardening sector
