Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Maintenance Specialist to join our team in Lancashire/Cumbria. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across several site locations.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong technical background and excellent communication skills. You will be working closely with our operations team to ensure that all maintenance work is completed to the highest standards and within agreed timescales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across multiple site locations
  • Respond promptly to service call requests from the helpdesk and assess the requirements of each job
  • Prioritise maintenance and repair work to achieve agreed timescales and response times
  • Order spares according to laid-down procedures
  • Identify non-repairable faults in plant and machinery and advise line managers accordingly
  • Ensure compliance documentation is always up to date
  • Carry out surveys and complete reports as required
  • Attend training courses to maintain and improve technical skills

Requirements

  • GCSE/Standard Grade level or equivalent qualification
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work efficiently on own or part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks
