We are seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join our team at Pratap Partnership, a leading global brand, to assist in the recruitment of a commercially focused finance professional to be based at our UK Head Office. This is a newly created position reporting to the Group Financial Controller and working closely with the Head of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) and Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a best-in-class finance function, with the Management Accountant being the final piece of the puzzle. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a global brand and contribute to the development of a commercially focused finance function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the development and production of the Group management accounts, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Work closely with the Head of FP&A to produce Group budgets and forecasts, providing insightful analysis and recommendations.
  • Conduct the monthly gross margin review and reconciliation, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes.
  • Take ownership of the monthly group stock valuations and provisions, ensuring accurate and compliant reporting.
  • Review and improve the groups product costing procedures, ensuring alignment with commercial objectives.
  • Work with the Group FC to ensure a smooth internal and external audit, providing support and guidance as needed.
  • Ensure accounting information is clear and concise through accurate posting of journals, providing transparency and visibility.

Requirements:

  • Fully qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA with a number of years of experience in a similar position, ideally from a retail or supply chain background.
  • Strong commercial acumen and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
