Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Housing Enforcement Officer to join our team based in London. In this role, you will be responsible for enforcing regulations within the private rented sector, ensuring safety and maintaining housing standards.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on public health and safety by guiding enforcement processes, providing expert advice, and mentoring junior officers. You will work closely with other departments, legal counsel, the Fire Brigade, and all interested parties to handle complex cases and prepare legal documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out detailed inspections to ensure compliance with regulations.">
  • Liaise with other departments, legal counsel, the Fire Brigade, and all interested parties.">
  • Prepare legal documentation and act as an expert witness in court proceedings when necessary.">

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have extensive experience working within the Building Safety environment, evidence of an appreciation of current issues facing building safety, specifically in multi-occupied residential buildings, and JIT training and experience.
